Rob Melville looks a bit like Jesus, and he also looks like the young protestors who hit the streets in the 1960s and 70s against the Vietnam War (his badge is from that era). I was originally going to photomontage him into a Vietnam moratorium demonstration, but then I thought about how images can be all about form, and not about content. I wanted a meaningless slogan for Rob, to underscore the disconnection between image and reality. Then I caught sight of my crocheted orange and brown tea cosy, and it came to me.
