Galahs ... galahs are noisy .... galahs like to talk ... galahs like stories... galahs are playful ... galahs are wise.
In Australia they're seen as a bit kitsch. They're associated with the souvenir teatowel and the Hobbytex placemat. "Flamin' galah!" is an old-fashioned term of abuse.
For all these reasons and more, I love galahs.
