Having first studied journalism in the 1980s, my skills were a little twentieth century. In 2006 I tried to remedy that by enrolling in a Certificate IV course in Digital Media at my local TAFE college. I completed the course in June 2007. Meanwhile, I succumbed to Second Life, YouTube and even web pages for my pets. Fun! (Note - I really do have a first life!)

My name is Tracy, and I'm a television evangelist! As part of the course, teacher Brad Hammond asked us to create a series of mock business cards in Photoshop CS2. This image combines a cloudy sky, angel wings, a TV remote control and devil's horns to suggest a TV evangelist who may be succumbing to temptation. See other works in the series >>

Fellow TAFE student Rob Melville was my model for this photograph, digitally enhanced in Photoshop to make him look like Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara. Rob was good enough to pose as Ned Kelly, a camel driver, a ghostly pirate and other characters for the "portrait" assignment set by Nicole Welch. See more digital photography >>

My Second Life Why have a Second Life when there's more than enough to keep me going in my first? Well, you can FLY in Second Life and walk around under water without drowning. My avatar's name is Squawkin Soderstrom, and she looks a bit like me. Her arms are rather short (she started out as a rabbit and evolved from there). Check out other snaps I've taken in Second Life here. If you don't know what I'm talking about, have a look here. |
My online life doesn't stop there! Just realised my goldfish have no presence on the internet! Sorry about that, guys. Here's a pic:
